Event Host SBDC at FDU: The NJSBDC network provides comprehensive assistance to small and medium businesses (SMBs) to maximize opportunities for growth and generate economic impact statewide. Our goal is to make New Jersey’s economy fairer to veteran owned and service connected veteran owned businesses, as well as veteran job creation.
Event Partner Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC): Hosted by the McNulty Veteran Business Center, the Veterans Business Outreach Center (VBOC) is here to assist transitioning service members, veterans, and military spouses looking to start, purchase or grow their own small business. Advisors can guide you through the obstacles that can stand between you and your success. The VBOC provides targeted training opportunities, counseling, and mentoring, referrals to partners and programs, and monthly network events are available at no cost to veterans.
Event Partner FDU Office of Veteran Services: FDU has developed an integrated resource system to deliver services that extend beyond education. Things may have changed since you left for training or active duty. We want to help you navigate your options, assist in reuniting with families and friends, and sort through the expectations and challenges of civilian life that can be quite contrary to your more recent military experiences. FDU welcomes all veterans and families of veterans, and is ready to assist you.
Event Partner Rothman Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship: Part of the Silberman College of Business, the Rothman Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship supports, researches and promotes entrepreneurship with a special focus on family, veteran and urban businesses. Among the many programs hosted is the national Veterans Launching Ventures (VLV) entrepreneurship course, a free, fully live online certificate course for veterans and their families who want to start or grow a business. The VLV provides veterans the skills and support they need to seize entrepreneurial opportunities and launch a small business.
Event Partner NJSBDC Capital Team: The NJSBDC Capital Team business consultants assist small business owners in securing much-needed funding for their business. In addition to informing small business owners about the opportunities available to their businesses, the experts also guide them through different application processes and organize one-on-one meetings between clients and a network of institutional and private/accredited investors.
Event Partner New Jersey Veterans Network: New Jersey Veterans Network is a volunteer mobile outreach program that is completely dedicated to helping our veterans and their families live a better life. The mission of NJVN is to create a system of Community Veteran Liaisons (CVL) whose role is to identify veterans and connect them with resources and solutions designed to meet their unique set of needs.
Event Partner Hudson County VSO: The Office of Veterans’ Affairs participates in and hosts a variety of events and provides services to assist Hudson County residents who served in the military. Such events include, but are not limited to: Benefits Seminar and Health Fairs and Resource Fairs. Also, the office helps veterans to locate housing and access other resources to meet their needs. Such services may include connecting veterans to the veterans clothing closet and helping them to access the unmet needs fund, as appropriate.
