The New Jersey Small Business Development Center (NJSBDC) network is partnering with Fairleigh Dickinson University to provide this no-cost business training course to veterans, service members and their families. From pre-venture to opening the doors, this course will give you all the necessary tools to launch your business from experts in their fields.

Mission: Startup is the program to take you from business idea to launch! Module 4 focuses on developing a well-structured business plan, covering essential entrepreneurial skills, launching competencies, marketing strategies, financial projections, presentation skills, and operational efficiency.

Develop a business plan to open or expand your business:

  • Week 1 - Intro to Business Planning
  • Week 2 - Business Description and Operations
  • Week 3 - Marketing Research and Planning
  • Week 4 - Marketing Mix and Promotion
  • Week 5 - Forecasting and Assumptions
  • Week 6 - Financial Statements
  • Week 7 - Loans and Financing
  • Week 8 - Wrapping up, Pitch and Plan
  • Week 9 - Business Pitch Competition
  • Master a marketing, operations and financial plan

Intended Student: People ready to write a business plan and open/expand
