Calling all veterans, service members and their families interested in entrepreneurship: Unlock your entrepreneurial potential with the Mission Ready Entrepreneurship (MRE) Academy Spring 2026! Live classes start May 5th.

Embark on an entrepreneurial journey with our live and on-demand virtual training courses, with professional consulting support, an extensive feasibility guide and live workshop support.

The New Jersey Small Business Development Center (NJSBDC) network is partnering with Fairleigh Dickinson University, Rutgers Camden and Stockton University to provide this no-cost business training course to veterans, service members and their families. From pre-venture to opening the doors, this course will give you all the necessary tools to launch your business from experts in their fields.

Ready to open your business?: MRE Academy is the program to take you from business idea to launch! Modules 6-8 are ideal for students seeking to develop a business plan and launch the business.


Course Details:

Live Modules 6 - 7: Business Plan Writing. 8 LIVE Classes, Estimated 16 Hours of Class Time, 10-20 Hours of Business Plan Researching and Writing.

Develop a bank-ready, comprehensive business plan to get the doors open, seek financing or attract investors. Ongoing consultant assistance, business formation and certification lab available after completion.

Module 6 - Business Plan

  • Transform your proven entrepreneurial business model into a comprehensive and actionable business roadmap.

Module 7 - Business Plan Resources

  • Supporting resources, documents and examples to help guide you through the business plan writing process.
  • LivePlan 3-month free license ($150 value)

On-Demand Module 8: Ready to Open. 8 Total Classes. Self-paced with live workshops for assistance.

Module 8 - Business Strategic Launch & Funding

  • Tactical module to prepare students for the legal, operational and financial launch of their business for "Day 1."
  • Focus: Formation, regulatory and legal launch of the business.

Intended Student: Those ready to launch a business through business planning. Must be a veteran, service member or military family member and complete intake form (emailed separately after registration)
